These past days have been super hot here in Paris. More than 30 degrees and sun. I feel like I’m melting.
The evenings are nice though and so is the Louvre and river Seine area.
Me and Rachel were supposed to meet at Invalides but of course all of a sudden the metro stopped working, the explanations were only given in French and I had to find my own way there which made me half an hour late and my feet very tired. So after a long chat on the riverside (which looks AMAZING) we headed to a nice cafe to have dinner. Food here is awesome as you can imagine.
Rachel taught me some new French phrases (apparently it is handy to have a French boyfriend, that is how she is learning most of it!) and I got to rest my poor feet a bit. Paris is huge. Even though I mostly take the metro I still walked 12km on high heels today. Not fun guys, not fun. Anyways, we were just on time for the sunset when we arrived at the Louvre.
The Louvre is the world’s largest museum and probably the most famous one too. Although it seems to me that most people only go there to take a picture in front of the giant pyramid and don’t care about the art inside. Although it is truly amazing in there. Totally worth it. However, save it for a rainy day.
Until next time,
